API key and documentation
In this article, you will learn how to generate an API key.
If you want to integrate Rule with other services, you may need an API integration. The reason for connecting your systems is to act as a bridge between them, and it is a convenient and secure way to transfer data between different systems.
However, this requires programming skills and we are happy to advise on solutions and possibilities.

Create an API key in Rule.
NOTE An API key is a security credential, similar to a password. It provides access to your account and data. Handle the API key with care.
- Click on the dropdown menu.
- Click on 'Settings'.
- Go to 'Developer'.
- Click on 'New API key'.
